New Banksy Rat appearing in New York?
News of a fresh mural of a Giant Rat in New York is appearing on various forums on the Internet as Banksy Posters speculate whether this latest piece is Banksy Graffiti or not.
The Giant Rat is one of two murals to appear in NYC (the latest is literally going up right now!) over the last week.
There is some doubt as to Artist behind the rats, however they resemble Banksy’s style and as for subject matter, rats have figured in his work for a long time, indeed they are virtually his trademark.
There is also the fact that the Art Dealer who represents Banksy has recently opened a pop-up gallery in NYC for ‘The Outsiders’ exhibition. Whilst it has been stated that no Banksy work will appear in the exhibition it may well be appearing outside!
